About Me:

I have a Multiple Subject Credential from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco.
I have worked at McKinley Institute of Technology for almost a decade. I teach Expository Reading and Writing and a STEAM elective. I have a wide variety of instructional expertise in terms of curriculum development, classroom support, and instructional strategies. I incorporate technology in every aspect of my teaching. I employ consistent and fair practices, take an active interest in our student's well-being and offer guidance and encouragement so that they may reach their higher goals.
My passion when I am not teaching is playing outdoors. I enjoy beach walks, hiking, and bicycling. Internationally, I have hiked Mount Kilimanjaro and Peru’s Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Domestically, I have taken many multi-day camping trips to Yosemite National Park and Desolation Wilderness in California, and once to Mount Zion in southern Utah and Havasu Canyon in Arizona. Around the Bay Area, I’ve ridden many centuries and metric-centuries on my road bike and pedaled many miles across remote, rough trails on my mountain bike.
