About Me:

I grew up in Berkeley and San Francisco and have 3 brothers.  I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sonoma State University in Environmental Science and Planning with a minor in Biology.

After college, I lived just north of Barcelona, Spain for a year and a  half where I taught English and learned how to speak a  moderate amount of Spanish while rebuilding a 12th century farmhouse. Before returning to the United States, I spent a year traveling through the Middle East and Asia in order to better understand the many cultures of the world. 

Teaching in Spain inspired me to earn a multiple subject/CLAD teaching credential from San Francisco State University with an emphasis on Second Language Acquisition. I have recently added a Educational Technology Specialist certification.  I have been teaching for the past 22 years and am currently educating middle school ELD and Stop Motion Animation students in Redwood City. I am passionate about blended learning with technology integration and hands-on projects.
